Make your relationships better!

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Start by becoming a better and careful listener this alone will help you get along better with everyone.  Often, we zone out during conversations because we planning what we are going to say next.  This often sends a sign to the other person that you don’t care and that what they are saying is not important to you.  Be a good listener and if it takes time for you to respond, oh well!  Good listening should be both parties responsibility.  Stay focused on your words not your thoughts, this should help.

Take a moment to share tips on how to make relationships better perhaps something that has worked for you.  Remember you’re sharing is helping somebody.  Cheers!

One thing that inspires me!

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I’m a huge believer that every one of us has the inner strength to take on life’s many challenges and to be successful.   One saying that resonates with me on today is simply “Life will not put things in front of us that we are not able to handle.”

Remember when you are faced with disappointment and when you become discouraged, and start thinking you’re unable to achieve a goal, remember!  You can do it. You can achieve it, think positively and make it happen!

Share what inspires you, remember you’re helping somebody.  Cheers!

Loving your body!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

You know the one God blessed you with!  Life is too short; why spend time hating on your body?  Learn to accept your body and embrace yourself from head to toe.  Some reasons are: Your body is unique; No one else has the same one.  No matter how bad you treat it, it’s willing to give you another chance. It’s expressive, in telling you how it feels (pay attention) and telling others how you feel about it as well. Because somebody out there (or somebodies) admires and adores it.  You’ll regret not loving your body and taking care of it later.  Take time and love yourself, all of you!!!  Remember confidence is pretty sexy.

Let us know what you’re doing to take care of your body and how you practice self-acceptance.  Remember you’re helping somebody.  Cheer to the beautiful person you are!

Relaxing with a good book!

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

It’s fall, a good book can be a great way to spend a quiet evening.  When you feel overwhelmed or anxious, don’t lose your mind, try losing yourself in a good book.  According to research reading for as little as 10 minutes lowers your heart rate and reduces stress.  Getting caught up in the story helps you escape from your own personal worries for a bit.  If you can’t seem to find the time to spend at home relaxing with a good book for the person on the go you can always try playing an audio book in your morning or evening commute.

Let us know what you’re reading.  Remember when you share you are helping somebody!  Cheers.

Growth

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Today I am reminded of all the blessing I have experienced in life.  There have been so many good times and some disappointing times but I made it through.  I recently went through a period when I had to face the reality that certain people I thought were close to me really didn’t have my best interest at hearts.  They did not support my growth or dreams they were just hanging around to see if I could reach the goals I set out for or to rejoice if I didn’t.  These types of people ultimately weight you down with negative energy and you gotta cut those ties.

There is one thing for certain about living this life, there will be transitions.  There are situation and circumstances that force you to grow, that growth forces you to a new place and higher level.  It’s getting through the process that’s hard but once you go through you should realize that you are stronger, wiser and better.  And that nothing can stop you now.

Please feel free to share your comments, remember you’re helping somebody.  Cheers!

“Dare to be the greatest”

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Whatever your challenge, you’ll succeed if you believe in yourself.  Learn what drives and motivates you.  Then get ready to embrace those things and shake things up for yourself.  One of the biggest obstacles we face is not believing in our abilities to make things happen.  We have to change the way we think and change our mentality, to embrace a “yes I can”, “yes I will” attitude.  Keep in mind we all have things we want to achieve but just because it doesn’t happen when we expect it to, doesn’t mean it won’t happen.  It only means it won’t happen now!  Don’t stop on your journey to greatness, the best is yet to come!

Let us know what you’re thinking, by sharing your comments you are helping somebody!  Cheers to you!

Our Quest

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Do you have a prerequisite for happiness?  Think about it, do you believe “material things” will make you happy?  Sometimes we get caught up in the idea that we cannot be good enough or fulfilled until we have this or that (materialistically).  I honestly don’t believe that money or material possessions make you happy, whole or complete as a person.  I think we all have qualities that are unique and special and I personally wouldn’t want to be anyone else and I don’t think there is anyone on this earth that can be me!  For that I am thankful.  I have certainly crossed the path of others that I like their drive, character, achievements, talents and strength but I wouldn’t want to be them by any means.  I believe individually we should all take time to become more in tune with our needs, desires, and who we really are.  We should be thankful for who we are, all of our talents, uniqueness, wisdom, compassion, attributes and all the many blessings we have experienced.

Be thankful for the person you are and focus your quest on things like peace, patience, understanding, wisdom, knowledge, and honoring yourself for the beautiful person you are.  The rest will come.  What God has for you is for you, no one can take that.

Share your thoughts on “Our Quest” let us know what you’re thinking.  Remember you’re helping somebody.  Cheers to you!
