Don’t Worry Be Happy!

Don’t worry be happy”.  You have the power to be happy.  It is a blessing available to each of us, but to create more joy in our lives, we must first become the master of our thoughts, because emotion always follows thought.  At any given moment our emotions reveal how we are interpreting what happens in our lives.  When we choose to dwell on what upsets us, we fuel disempowering feelings and that creates the emotional experience that determines how we react to our circumstances.  The reverse is also true:  Concentrating on the positive not only lifts our mood but can affect our bodies in a joyful, life-enhancing way.  Cheers to joy & happiness.

I pray you enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving Day!  This is a day set aside globally to give thanks.  We must remember one day in November is not the only time we should give thanks.  We must give thanks daily.  We must reach out to help someone else more often and not wait for one day out of the year to do something nice for someone else.  We should not have a problem identifying one thing every day that we are thankful for.  Start right now, today by making a commitment to take time everyday to give thanks for at least one thing.  We have so much to be thankful for.  I know I certainly do.  Cheers.

What are you doing toembrace Joy in your life on today?  Have you set asside time to do something “joyful”?  Take a moment and jot down something that brought you “Joy” on today!  We must practice daily on creating an environment that’s filled with joy and surround ourselves with people and environments that are joyful!  And we must stay away from people and environments that don’t bring us joy!  It’s okay, try it.

In an unsettled economy everyone must develop a brand new attitude to stand out from the competition.  Are you happy with your personal brand?  It’s okay if you’re not, because you can always reinvent your life.  When I think of reinventing I immediately think of transformation into the life you’ve always dreamed about.  If you’re already living that fabulous life, strive to make it even better.  Reinventing your brand will not be easy, however, if you come up with a plan, then execute, you can really have a substantial return.  

Start with a plan, be prepared for opportunities that come your way that support where you are trying to go, be prepared to promote yourself, keep it real, be approachable, tap into your network/social groups, get a mentor, empower your life, honor the process and believe in yourself, make the current state of the economy work for you and be fearless!  Cheers to a brand new you!

Happy Thanksgiving Day

Today is Thanksgiving a day set aside to give thanks.  Every Sunday on sistahology we ask our subscribers, fans & friends to give thanks for at least one thing.  Where-ever you live if you have looked at the news or picked up a newspaper recently you should realize you have so much to be thankful for.  I am so thankful for family, friends and all the blessing God has allowed me to experience.  I am thankful life, health and strength to take care of myself without assistance.  Most of all I am thankful for a right mind, I can think for myself.  Thank you Lord for all that you have done for me, today I don’t want for anything!  I have peace, joy and love that surpass all understanding!  I am experiencing all the love, joy & happiness I can stand, what more could I ask God for!  Thanks be to him for all things!  What are you thankful for?

There are some things that you simply cannot control.   We often feel the strain of situations over which we have no power.  Best described as a silent killer, stress can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep problems, obesity and depression, just to name a few.  Instead of putting so much energy by stressing yourself out, try to do things differently.  Start today; make it a priority to eliminate stress from your life.  Believe it or not, it is much easier than you think just take the time to honor yourself! 

Some tips to start eliminating stress from your life daily, take a walk, listen to calming music, exercise, start journaling, start thinking differently.  These are just a few things to get you started in the right direction.  Remember you are too blessed to be stressed.  Cheers!

Save Your Sanity by Letting Others Help

Organization may be you middle name, but you still find yourself struggling to get through all of your to do’s.  Sometimes the best way to check a task off the endless list is by handing it over to someone else.  But, delegating doesn’t mean ditching your responsibilities, nor does it highlight any shortcomings.  Instead, it can emphasize your good judgment and your strength to know when you have too much going on.  We must not assume that because we are smart and independent we should be able to do it all.  There are just not enough hours in the day, days in the week for us to do everything we set out to do.  It’s okay let someone else help……  Cheers!

Say No More Often

Think of all the times you said yes when you really wanted to say no.  Now is the time to stop stressing about what you really wanted to say.  Just say no!  Saying no can be hard especially when it someone near and dear to us and the need seem real, regardless of who, what, where and how we must start taking a different approach and it starts with saying no!  Try it you will feel so much better.  Remember when you say yes, you are accepting everything that comes along with it.  Cheers!
