{"id":964,"date":"2013-11-03T17:58:11","date_gmt":"2013-11-04T01:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sistahology.com\/blog\/?p=964"},"modified":"2013-11-03T17:58:11","modified_gmt":"2013-11-04T01:58:11","slug":"stress-rollin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sistahology.com\/blog\/stress-rollin\/","title":{"rendered":"Stress-Rollin!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"background-repeat: no-repeat;\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cause of stress is always the same: You experience a situation in which you feel too overwhelmed, confused, or scared to express your true feelings.\u00a0 You\u2019re fighting for your own life with your own situations and it feel as though you are losing.\u00a0 Please note the enemy comes in different circumstances, problems and ordeals.\u00a0 Whatever the problem, if it seems too big to solve, you may believe you have no choice but to internalize your fear and anger.\u00a0 I called this stress-rolling, it\u2019s displaced aggression, triggered by our need to dump our anger on someone else, and someone we know won\u2019t fight back!\u00a0 So, wrong!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unfortunately, feelings don\u2019t want to stay hidden.\u00a0 Like water held back in a dam, they are always pushing, seeking a way out.\u00a0 A crack or small break will do.\u00a0 The \u201ccrack\u201d in our ability to suppress negative feelings in relationships is when our defenses are lowest, our fears smallest.\u00a0 Our hidden feelings seep or burst out when we\u2019re with people we trust or who aren\u2019t in a position to resist us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To eliminate a tendency to stress-roll, you first have to notice it in the other people; one sign that you are stress-rolling maybe feelings of shame or guilt.
