Challenge

Saturday, November 23rd, 2013

Sometimes it’s got to get worse before it gets better. Sometimes it is not until the muck and mire are so deep, so thick, that we realize there has got to be a change. As long as we have little problems, we are willing and able to maneuver our way around. When the challenges are small, we can find a quick fix without realizing there is a deeper problem, a bigger issue which requires healing.

When we find ourselves in the same situation repeatedly as a result of our conditioned responses, we must stop and do a new thing. The situation may look different. The route we take there may be altogether different. The lesson we must learn does not change. Get honest! Pay attention! Change what you do to create a change for yourself!  Cheers!

Honoring Yourself

Sunday, November 10th, 2013

You can fight your way into or out of any situation or you can love yourself into and out of it. To love someone even though your encounter with them has caused you pain does nothing for them and everything for you. Remember, what you give comes back! To love, knowing divine order will prevail, is the greatest gift you can give to yourself.  You must remember everyone one that comes into your life was not meant to stay.  People come into your life for a reason, season or a lifetime.  Try to always live in the moment, because what you enjoy today may not be there tomorrow.

Honor yourself and put your needs first.  You cannot give what you do not have. If you cannot give yourself the mercy of forgiveness, you will never be able to find it in your heart to forgive anyone else.

You can do this! You can learn how to stop allowing others to dishonor you and make honoring yourself your number 1 priority. You can do whatever is needed to bring you to the level of self-love and understanding that will be required to resolve any doubt or fear. You can feel bad and recover. You can fall down and get up. You can learn your lesson and put the information to use to get on purpose. You can heal.  Cheers to honoring the wonderful person that you are!

Stress-Rollin!

Sunday, November 3rd, 2013

The cause of stress is always the same: You experience a situation in which you feel too overwhelmed, confused, or scared to express your true feelings.  You’re fighting for your own life with your own situations and it feel as though you are losing.  Please note the enemy comes in different circumstances, problems and ordeals.  Whatever the problem, if it seems too big to solve, you may believe you have no choice but to internalize your fear and anger.  I called this stress-rolling, it’s displaced aggression, triggered by our need to dump our anger on someone else, and someone we know won’t fight back!  So, wrong!

Unfortunately, feelings don’t want to stay hidden.  Like water held back in a dam, they are always pushing, seeking a way out.  A crack or small break will do.  The “crack” in our ability to suppress negative feelings in relationships is when our defenses are lowest, our fears smallest.  Our hidden feelings seep or burst out when we’re with people we trust or who aren’t in a position to resist us.

To eliminate a tendency to stress-roll, you first have to notice it in the other people; one sign that you are stress-rolling maybe feelings of shame or guilt. This might show up if you have rolled your negativity onto someone else.  Deep down your conscience will be whispering “I’m not being fair”.  Listen up!

The key to stress-rolling is to remember no matter how much stress we roll downhill, no matter how we justify the rolling, ultimately we still have to deal with the situation that caused our disconnect.  The only thing stress-rolling accomplishes is the creation of new enemies out of old allies (or potential allies) a classic lose-lose situation.  So the moment you get the slightest inkling that you’re stress-rolling, excuse yourself, take some deep breaths, and determine what’s really bothering you, because the core issue is often so upsetting that you have pushed it out of your consciousness, you may not be able to articulate it at first.  Cheers!
