Give and Forgive

December 8th, 2009

Holding on to anger and resentment is an emotional weight that robs you of your joy.  Let it go.  Happiness is spiritual peace, peace with a higher power, with you and with others.  And while you’re handing out pardons, give away a few other things too:  Generosity makes us feel as if we’re making a difference by creating an environment of connection and love.   Cheers!

Be Good To Yourself

December 7th, 2009

Start by eating nourishing food and getting a good night sleep that consist of at least six to eight hours of sleep every night.  Exercise regularly this adds to your feeling of well being and may help prevent diabetes, heart disease and other illnesses.  Research shows that exercising three times a week for 30 minutes has the same impact as drugs used to treat depression.  Give yourself permission to be human.  When we accept emotions such as fear, sadness and anxiety as natural we are more prone to overcome them.  Cheers!

You’re Pursuit of Happiness

December 1st, 2009

What is the secret to lasting joy?  How do we attain emotional wholeness?  I do believe happy people already know and are constantly showing us how to tap into our own bliss.  Don’t wait around for other people to be happy for you.  Any happiness you get, you’ve got to make yourself.  We must do a self examination, the ingredients for your happiness is within reach.  We must tune in to the things that made us happy in the past, follow the clues to create a more fulfilled life in the present.  Get to know your own happy place.  Cheers!

Don’t Worry Be Happy!

November 30th, 2009

“Don’t worry be happy”.  You have the power to be happy.  It is a blessing available to each of us, but to create more joy in our lives, we must first become the master of our thoughts, because emotion always follows thought.  At any given moment our emotions reveal how we are interpreting what happens in our lives.  When we choose to dwell on what upsets us, we fuel disempowering feelings and that creates the emotional experience that determines how we react to our circumstances.  The reverse is also true:  Concentrating on the positive not only lifts our mood but can affect our bodies in a joyful, life-enhancing way.  Cheers to joy & happiness.
