Stress Less, Sleep Well

December 18th, 2009

Recent studies indicate that 54 percent of American are concerned about the level of stress in their lives.  No one is completely free of stress.  Stress in small doses can actually benefit us by keeping us motivated, focused, and alert when we need to be.  However, when life’s demands exceed your ability to cope, stress becomes a threat to both your emotional and physical well-being.  That’s why it’s important to acknowledge stressors early on and find ways to control them, bringing your life back into balance.  Don’t allow the holiday’s to overwhelmed you and stress you out.  Do things in moderation and listen to your body.  When it says stop, stop!  Cheers.

Try Something New In 2010

December 17th, 2009

Go to church, any church.  A 2006 Pew Research report revealed that those who attend weekly services of any faith indicate that they feel much happier than those who attend once a month or less.  You have so much to give thanks for why not do it at church. So, if you’re not in attendance at a weekly service, start the New Year off trying it.  Cheers!

Tips for the Holiday’s

December 16th, 2009

The idea is to savor the taste of the season, enjoy friends and family and be satisfied, not stuffed and miserable.  SMALL PLATES, skinny glasses, as dinner plates seem to have gotten bigger so are many American’s.  Control your portions by using a smaller plate.  Try having your choice of beverage in a champagne flute, it’s tall and skinny.  SLIP WISELY, drink in moderation and know your limit and when to stop.  GET SOME SLEEP, shopping, wrapping, cooking and partying until dawn may cause you to lose focus on the season.  Most of us aren’t getting enough sleep already and add all the additional demands of our time, we are sure to be the losing end.  Experts recommend at least eight hours of sleep.  Take care of your body, mind, and spirit.  Cheers!

Live In The Moment

December 15th, 2009

Give up on perfection.  Remember that life is a marathon, not a sprint.  Some things will always be out of your control.  Learn to accept that, and focus on making the choices that will lead you towards your goal.  Stay focus and remember your target.  Cheers!

You’re Bliss

December 14th, 2009

Take some time to think back to your happiest times.  True bliss occurs when several joyful moments fuse into one unforgettable day.  It’s a turning point of pure joy, such as a wedding, a major achievement, or simply a day when everything just “feels right”, we all have magical moments.  The goal is to bring more of them to your life, more often.  Once you’ve recalled two or more of your happiest moments, connect the dots to figure out what they have in common.  Then think of ways to plug those passions into your life to design your own personal brand of joy!  Cheers!

It’s Thankful Sunday!

December 13th, 2009

I am so thankful for life and life more abundantly!  I live a life of peace regardless of all drama that often surrounds me; maybe because I realize that without all the drama God could not prove himself to people.  I know I am a child of God.  I know where all my blessings come from.  I realize that I have so much to be thankful for, and that I have a purpose.  I am living in the moment and doing what I am passionate about.  I am simply blessed and thankful today and every day.  Are you?

It’s Saturday & The Holiday’s

December 12th, 2009

Are you pursuit of joy on today?    Don’t get so caught in all the holiday hype that you forget to have fun. We get consumed with all the shopping, parties and doing for others that we forget about ourselves.  We must remember to take care of us.  Give yourself permission to take a shopping and holiday break, take time to rest & unwind.  Remember the real reason for the season.  Cheers!

Wellness During The Holiday Season!

December 11th, 2009

Getting through the holidays can exact a heavy toll on the body; carrying heavy shopping bags, standing for hours at parties (in heels), sitting in cramped seat aboard your holiday flight to see family & friends.  The result chronic aches and low energy, not to mention stress of the social whirl.  When you get stressed, you often hold your breath, which leads to holding your muscles.  It feels like you’re wearing a straightjacket.

You can stretch out the holiday stress, though, with a little time and effort. Start by doing some form of exercise & meditation for at least 15 minutes a day, this can help rejuvenate you, it paves the way to a calmer, less achy, and more energized you!  It’s a giving season, so consider it a present to you.

There Is No Exterior Cure

December 10th, 2009

When you look in the mirror and not like what you see there.  It all has to do with how you’re feeling within.  If you fix that first, I believe you’ll start to love yourself unconditionally.  Start each day by looking in the mirror at the beautiful person you are and tell yourself you are beautiful, loved and fabulous.  Cheers!

As You Age, You Get More Beautiful

December 9th, 2009

I know this to be true from my own personal experience.  Today, as I celebrate another fabulous birthday, I so appreciative of God’s grace and his love for me.  I believe beauty is within and if you have a beautiful spirit that will be reflective externally in your every being.  If you have particular imperfections such as laughing lines, this is a good thing.  They show you’ve been happy and living a healthy life, they also show confidence, power and everything good.  I believe if you want to be beautiful, feel beautiful or make someone else feel beautiful, a positive attitude is the best way to go.  Inner beauty is the constant search for your own confidence, and finding that in yourself if the most important thing!  Today is an awesome day, and I am thankful for another year to share my life with my family and very dear friends.  Cheers!
